I was in Mazabuka over weekend to see the progress going on there.The roofing is going now and come january,we will be in new classrooms.Iam happy the building is different from all the structures in Mazabuka.

HI All,
Hope everyone is okay.Just to let you know that we had a good time with Mimi from crossroads,their representative.We had a very wonderful time together.She visited the school project site and got some film videos about me and how we got to where we are today.Then we proceeded to see and meet with children and all beneficiaries of the consignment received.We had all reps from three different schools we support and the old aged of whom a film video was taken.

She got very happy especially on the local materials used to construct the buildings.Then started off back to Lusaka at about 19;30pm and reached Lusaka at about 22:30pm.

We are again to ,meet ZOAZ team in the first week of Dec to discuss ways we will find a teacher and how to we will manage to pay her/his salary.Have also directed my staff to see the District education board secretary(DEBS)in Mazabuka and look at a possibility to have a govt paid teacher to help head the school.Hope we will have a positive discussion.I assure you that all will be achieved.

The party preparation is going on very well.The parents have shown their commitment by donating some funds towards the end of year party.

Thanks to you all who contributed to make this a reality.A word must be fulfilled as written in the bible."In the beginning was the word and the word became god"This is a very difficult point to understand.Will be uploading pics of the roofing work next weekend.

UPDATE.

The school project is coming up very well.The 1 x2 classroom block has been roofed and only one patch of the right corner is remaining due to material shortage and will be made today.
The building of the 1 x 1 classroom block has been completed too and roofing will begin soon after the 1 x2 is completed.Thanks for all the help and we are moving forward.

Have also filled a combined application to coca cola foundation for the teacher's house and education program.Hope it will be considered.

HI All,

UPDATE,

Iam excited to update you on the current status of the project.The 1 x 2 block has been completed.Iam also happy to info you that we were visited by ZOAZ team yesterday in chibolya and we went round to see the progress site.The ladies were impressed with the on going progress so far done.

More importantly,iam happy to let you know that the bore-hole to be dug at the school has been funded already.The surveyors will be coming for a site survey any time this week or later and the project will commence soon. Gertrude advised me to put a short proposal on how we will use the water which i highlighted to them and they were happy with the justifications.

We also went to see the DEBS officer at the Ministry of Education and all was positive.They assured us of a teacher to be recommended from a nearby school before we can have adequate infrastructure to accommodate more teachers.Everything was positive and thanked us for the development as the need was great in chibolya due to high population in the area.

Also discussed were ways to fundraise for the school and CEHO respectively.We discussed to have a grind mill ,orchard for fruits and vegetable garden for nutrition food and this will help bring income to the school.And these are on demand locally .Therefore, a need to come up with proposals with expected income levels and submit them to ZOAZ for help.

Also a need to have a permanent guard at the school was one of the issues we looked at and ZOAZ will try and help in whatever way possible but we will take this as a collective responsibility.Currently CEHO has employed one guard at the site for security purposes at the cost of 300,000ZMK.

The urgent issue at hand discussed was the teacher salaries for January.We are a pealing to any well wisher to help with only 450USD dollars for a term or 1800USD for a year.( we can work on it as we open.)We discussed that ,that can manage to pay a teacher.

These are some of the developments presently going on in chibolya and i thought we should share them together.So any one willing to donate or fund raise on our behalf is welcome.

I know it seems not possible but God will open a way out and we will achieve it.

HI Everyone,
I know it was quiet some time now without updating you over the progress made to-date.

SCHOOL PROJECT.

The school project is progressing well.The roof for 1 x 2 classroom is completed with the floors near to completion.The 1 x 1 roof has been completed too with floors coming up soon.The ditches for two toilets are also dug with one completed and walls following up soon.

BOREHOLE

The funds for the bore hole has been secured from Estelle trust of UK and the drilling will start soon with having completed the surveying activity.This will a company with solar powered pumps.Thanks to Andrew -ZOA UK Chairperson for his efforts in getting this sorted out. The team from Estelle trust, ZOAZ ,CEHOZ and Built IT will visit chibolya tomorrow for the survey.

TEACHERS HOUSE.

We are working to source for support for a teacher 's house.So far the ZOA UK is working hard to find funds for a teacher house.Refer to my latest email correspondences to you all.So far CEHOZ has file an application to the local authority in Mazabuka under Community Development Fund (CDF) ask for funding for a teacher's house.

CEHOZ has employed two teachers to take up our children to higher levels of education.And we are appealing to all friends and neighbors to take this issue as a joint venture in finding funds for teachers at the school.Iam glad that the Local District Education Board secretary has agreed to give us trained teacher from a nearby school to supervise the school before we can have our own accommodation.

ZOAZ 'STRATEGIC PLANNING W/SHOP

Iam glad also to info you that i had a privileged to be invited to attend the strategic workshop organised by ZOAZ on Friday from 8;30 hrs - 1700hrs.The meeting was very fruitful with ZOAZ,ZOA-UK and ZOA-US becoming a consortium organisation with defined mission statement and vision.

CEHOZ successfully accessed 20 computers from Camara organisation in Kitwe for a local school we support.These are refurbished machines with a trainer to provide the training to teachers.I personally traveled to Kitwe to bring these machines to the school.The school contributed the cost of computers at 300,000zmk,and transport for Innocent to help process all requirements.The school was very happy about the development.The training is freely provided.Many schools are now visiting our office for support which has added a lot of credibility to CEHOZ in the district.CEHOZ was selected to be the facilitator in southern province for the provision of these services with MoU signed by the two organisations.

Thank you so far for all your help in accomplishing our goals.We intend to go along mile,thus we need you along!!!!!!!

Hi Innocent,

This is great news about the school, the bore hole and the situation with regard to the teachers. I know it will all have entailed a lot of hard work on your side in bringing together all these initiatives and you and your colleagues at CEHOZ and everyone in the community who has contributed to this project so far, should be immensely proud of what has been achieved to date.

This is the start of a new year and as you rightly say Innocent, there is still much to be done. So we need all our friends and neighbours to continue to work hard to find ways to support this project and to help it to become self sustaining in the future.

2011 was a good year for CEHOZ, now together let's make 2012 an even better year for the children and the community. Well done Innocent!

Indeed,it has been a good year and so involving .Glad to inform you all that we received a team from Estelle Trust following up the bore-hore issue and were so happy to recommend the project to start soon.We have other organisations we can talk to for partnering and for support such as ;HODI & Baynards Trust Zambia,they build houses for teachers, classrooms and trains teachers and other livelihood programs.

HI All,
Just to update you that the bore hole that is dug in chibolya was not done due to bad weather last week when they came to work on the site.They vehicle got stuck just some few kilometers before reaching the site.This is said to be dug soon as the weather improves.

The two classroom block is completely finished and the one classroom block remain with flooring to be done,.The toilets are being erected and they are causing a big delay as we cannot open the school before they are completed.

The school will enroll hundred and eighty (180)orphans in the this year's academic year with two teachers.

I haven't heard from you on email and happy to hear about the increase in students. Hope everyone is doing well! Have you decided what you plan to do with the potential grant? If it goes into something that can be income producing for the school, that will provide for a strong foundation.. Also I think it's important to have programs in the school. ( music, sports, science? )

There is one foundation teaching children about astronomy and the space shuttle!

Glad to hear from you after a long time.Over the grant yes,plans have been made but its dependent on the donors terms as many donors have their own preferences on usage of funds which should not be contradictory.We hope all will be approved.

Yes,that's good idea and we are working on clearing the site for the play ground for children.All these programs are okay and we just have to work together to get them started.Iam more than to initiate that once all guidance is given.Thank you heather for all these ideas.Sports activities are quiet very important to children and that we have all the equipment for it,it should just happen.

We can start on the move.We have also planned for the environmental program at the school with ACP ,to plant trees and fruits.This will be followed by creating community forests and awareness education on environment.Oh a few more programs on the pipeline!!!Your contributions are welcome!!.

Iam happy to info you all the classrooms have been completed .The remaining issue is completing the toilets for children which is at slab level.Built it has delayed us we should have moved to the new site by March,2012.

Met Keith at our office for more discussion which was very fruitful.He visited as a trust board member for ZOA- UK.

He also advised to have the playground started and its one of the items within the budget for the expected grant.

We need everyone now to come on board and see all these happen for children.Have had little time of late due to daughter who had to undergo a lot of speech therapy to help her.

Great to Nabuur!!The school is finally built in chibolya with three classroom blocks as our first phase.We want to thank all our neighbors for their contributions to get this a reality.I know it has been long awaited result,which only comes after a lot effort has been placed on.

The school is receiving continuous grant for our school children for four years now.This has indeed benefited hundred children with school requisites;Thanks so much for all these results.

This has been a very big project and to achieve it is something one can not just believe.Its all done.Thank you,thank you to all our neighbours and all those who contribute in any way to make it happen.

We are Cabbge seif help Group from chwele bungoma central in kenya in our group we work as a community and we deal with farming . we have a plot where we keep cows 3 , of them , sheep , chicken . we have also rented a 3 ha farm that we piant cabbages and take them to the market .
