HI All,

Glad to info you all that Chibolya Memorial School ,a brain child school for CEHOZ is now closed for its second term period and will reopen on 3rd of September,2012 for the academic year.The children who are under our sponsorship are doing well in their respective schools.Their results are so good compared to those who are not supported.The issue of feeding children at school brings alot of good results to the performance of girl children in schools.

CEHOZ is now a full time feeding program at its core cent re -CMS for about 150 children.We need your support to enable us meet more children.All the food staffs for the next term feeding have been procured already and delivered to the school.

We are also in the position to help disabled children at the school as the we have received alot of calls from the public in chibolya and Mazabuka district in general.We need your help in formulating the project so we look for support locally and outside.Your ideas are welcome.

best wishes with your new teachers house consturction.

Regarding the disabled children, i would suggest in the meantime you get a local nurse docotor or even parents who have disabled children to hold an awareness session, or even an older disabled adult who has their own business, or who is active in the community. They can talk about how disabled children can learn and grow, although perhaps sometimes at different rates. abilites and talents. Many can become active citizesn and work study and have their own business. Education, stimulation, understanding, and awareness can go a long way. They have their own goals and steps, they can benefit them and their family and community.
Perhaps start a carer/parent support group as they will be insturmental in change and development, i know as i am a parent of a now grown child with aspergers syndrome.

I will look into finding volunteers for your school if you wish especially for the disabled children

Yes,will work on that soon with the material manuals you sent me.Thank you.They are very good and will be studying it soon so we can start training our CBO in Mazabuka district.Will soon form a parent group for disabled children as we are now registering disabled children at our centre.Will update you how it goes.My daughder also has cerebral pouse so can not walk nor talk.Having the program run at our centre would allow a chance for her to be admitted there also.

thanks for your kind comments and information. I wish you very well indeed with this very worthwhile project. If you want i will see what info i can get for parents and teachers that can help with learning more about different disabilites and conditions and things that can help support parents in assisting their children to become the best they can be. Disabled children can change us and make us more aware of life in a way that you wouldnt have been if we had no expericne of this; as you will alaready know as a parent with a child with cerebral palsy.

In the next few weeks students will return to college and University so will send emails and put up posters soon that are geared to volunteers that may be interested in the diffferent projects you have
