The Daff Society wishes to establish a practical technology center to support community development. Through this center, local CBOs and members of the local community will come to learn new technologies that can be of help to them.

We have advised the community that they need to think internally and not externally. A meeting was recently held with community members and we looked at the local resources available and discussed how best to utilize them. Among these were;

1. Forest - under this it was agreed that a bee-keeping project be initiated. 100 bee hives are needed this year to start this project.

2. Animals - two male goats, improved breeds are required to improve the size of our local breeds as this will increase income. Local chickens and pigs can also be considered here as a prospective source of income.

3. Land - It was noticed that majority of our members are small scale farmers hence there's need to add value to their produce (rice, beans, groundnuts, cow peas, soyabeans, etc). There is a need to acquire simple packaging equipment as this will add value and increase income for an individual farmer and the community at large.

4. Information Center - It was also agreed that an information centre be established within the library, for example, an internet cafe to help us market our produce and for communication purposes.
