Furaha Center for the Deaf is a disabled people's organization in Nairobi, Kenya. Started in 2006, the organization promotes participation in democratic processes, community, civic affairs and looks forward to the creation of a supportive social, cultural, economic and political environment that empower the deaf community to to be active participants in development.

Because of stigma and discrimination, people with disabilities are numerically high and among idlers who most often end up in crime or deviant behaviour. Because of this, Furaha Center for the Deaf was born. Furaha endeavors to change attitudes, promote responsibility and independance through networkings and partnerships and strategies that focus on poverty eradication, wealth creation and empowerment.
