Help Min describe the plan for adding the two rooms to the school. Who will do what? How will the local community contribute?

Help Min describe the plan for adding the two rooms to the school. Who will do what? How will the local community contribute?
Project Plan:
Even before design and construction processes begin, there is a stage of "project planning" that can be critical for project success as well as identify the required internal stakeholders (human resources), of who going to participate in the construction process. In this process, the project scope is established. Since construction and design professionals are often not involved in this project scope stage, the terminology of describing this as a "project" process has arisen.
i could suggest one simple scenario:
1- Main scenario.
Actually, the plan produced or coordination procedure for the main scenario has well defined of the project plan life cycle from the analysis stage to the operation/launch
stage (project history), with description of the start and end dates of each task. And the scope of the project is clearly identified the performance, cost and time.
i suggested that the prjoect will start on 04/06/2007 and end date on 19/07/2007 ( approx. 7 working weeks )
the wages were suggested as well, becuase i have not found any information related to the slaries/time.
please find the attached file to have a look to the plan and let me know if you want any changes, bear in mind its simple plan to cope with the nature of the project
note: the file needs MS Project 2000/2003.

Hello Jennifer,
Thank you for the invitation. I'd like to help you on the project design. I worked previously on Chibolya school project and Kabwe CTC center. Please let me if I could be of some help to your project.
Best regards,
Tatjana
Hello Everybody!
Tatjana and I worked toghter in Kabwe Village for the CTC building. And I can share some of my time and knowledge in construction management/planning and costing.
So where do I get into the act. Please advise me..... :-)
Regards!
Rafael
Hi! I am so happy to hear from you both :)
Min was to meet with some of the people that will be involved in the building the additions to the school this week, but I haven't received his update yet. I am on vacation for the next 10 days so I am hoping that we can start moving forward on this project again.
I am going to be relying on you both and Min a lot in terms of the design. From what I understand in talking with others there is a specific building process/materials used in Nepali buildings so possibly we can connect you both with the builder and try to figure out what we need to do from there.
Right now I think the biggest need is to determine what exactly is needed for the building so we know how much money needs to be raised.
I will be back in touch with you both once I hear back from Min and we can discuss how to best utilize you both. I've seen your work on other projects and was very impressed so I am confident you have the expertise we need to help guide this portion of the project.
Jennifer
Dear Jennifer and other neighbors
Thanks a lot for your kind support to the needy community school.
Just two days ago I organized meeting with the people who have came to kathmandu from Gamauli. We discussed about " if there are any opportunities to raise money at local level, how can be that building be cheaper, comfortable and sustainable, who can lead the construction project at the spot and how can we transport materials from outside?"
At the same time we discussed about the suitable time to construct the building;
THese people decided as following;
1. Small money ($300.00) can be sopport by local community
and labor can be possible from community side.
2. If we cannot get fund then the another option is we
construct traditional building with using zinc sheet's
roof. it is cheaper but not comfortable and sustainable.
so we try for concrete building at first.
3. Bhote Sarki and Chitra Bahadur Shahi can lead the
project at local level. where Bhote sarki is a
contractor and Chitra Bahadur is a local teacher,
committee members and parent of the school.
4. We use community people to transport these materials
from road head to construction spot.
5. The appropriate time (community people get free from
farm)is November to Marh.
These are the things we discussed and decided. I requested to all neighbors for their contribution like; suggestions on designing, implementing new techno logy if any practices on other countries, fund rising and other.
I have tried to attache photo regarding group work.
Warm regards
Sincerely your's

Hello Jennifer, Min & Rafael,
It's nice to see you here.
I wonder where do I start. I couldn't find anything in the resources section. Is there any sketch so far on how the plan of the building should look like or it's up to me to propose?
Any information about a lot (area, orientation) would be helpful also. Some pictures of the similar buildings in the region would be of a great help.
I appreciate more info.
Keep in touch.
Best regards,
Tatjana
Hi Tatjana-
I talked to Min last night. There are no design plans so we need to draw some up. There are some pictures of the existing school building in the My Village section. The local community is interested in a 2-room addition to the existing school. Currently, many of the students are having to attend classes held outside due to space issues.
Min wanted to know what specific information you would need to help you so that he can get it together. Your list of questions is a good start. Is there anything else you can think of that you want to know about the building site, common building technique, etc? As I said, I have zero experience with building projects so I am really going to need to rely a lot on those of you who do to guide us toward the best possible solution.
Jennifer
Dear Jennifer & Min,
We'll help each other :)
Let's see...
-Some drawing or sketch of the plan and section with measures of the existing school and a lot (area, limits) is needed, just as
-List of materials used to build the existing school (construction, roofing, partition walls, preferably with dimensions); and
-Dimensions of the windows/doors in the existing school
Keep in touch!
Have a nice weekend,
Tatjana
Electricity has been on and off in the past week, so I think possibily that Min has had difficulty getting and staying online. Hopefully we'll see him here soon.
