Dear All,
Thank you for the recent input. However, it has been hectic over here lately. I'm looking for a new flat, moving, travelling in the meantime and having a lots of deadlines. It will last for two more weeks, so I don't have any free time to dedicate to the drawing before the 30th of august. That means that I can have some results in the first week of September. I hope that you can work on the other parts of the project in the meantime.
Thank you for understanding.
Keep in touch.
Best regards,
Tatjana

Min-

I was thinking this evening about all that needs done at the school with the compound wall, the access to water and the toileting situation and wondered if it might not be a good idea to contact an organization such as Engineers Without Borders to get some advice about how to best approach these things at the school.

This is a link to their website:

http://www.ewb-usa.org/index.php

They also have an International division.

Let me know what you think and I can contact them :)

Also, I was wondering if you have ever looked into alternative heating and/or power solutions for the school?

Dear Jennifer

We really appreciate your contribution and I hope it will get result in near future.
I agree with you. Tell me whatI need to do for that.Engineers without boarders may be the better solution for us.
We need a person or group who involve with interes and who wants to see the change in that school. Most of individuals and organizations do not take seriously. They just confuse us. Since I request to you to find a interested group and individual like Mr. Garry Miller who wants to do something, trust to the community and hopes result.

Why are you wondering about power alteratives. Please, Nepal is a developing country. Gamauli is a remote village of Nepal. This area is most underdeveloped in Nepal. Or it is near to kalikot which is most underdeveloped.

Sincerely your's

I am asking about a power source for the school because I know they have none. If I am able to establish contact with Engineers without Borders I want to present the school situation accurately in order to gain the best advice possible. Power does not only have to come from electricity-so it's very possible the group may have other ideas that could be cost-effective. At minimum, while we may not be able to address it immediately, I'd like to be able to get you a good recommendation for options to consider.

I sent them a letter of inquiry tonight to see if we can get support from one of their divisions. I will update as I know more.

I am also going to close this task tonight. Min has a basic diagram with measurements noted and has talked with a local builder, the community members, etc about responsibilities and distribution of labor needed to add the 2-room addition to the school. I think for now, we've done what we can with this task. We just need the funds to move forward.

The diagram is located in the powerpoint posted in the string of messages associated with this task and should also be visible on our resources page.
