What language should books be in?

I know of several organisations that may be able to donate books (most do not charge for shipping), but they would be in English which may not be very helpful to you!

I have TONS of books I could donate. Is it OK if they are all in English? Also where do I
send the books (and address). How are the shipping costs paid? Would I need to pay that myself?

You are most well come. It is great hearing from you. Books may be in different language especially in English are very good for us because ECC our organization) is focusing on promoting the English language in community schools which is so important as well as crucial task in our context. Please, ECC always well come books and supplies for the schools and is committed to reach up to community school which are really in need.

Please follow the ECC, address in Kathamandu and then we are the responsible for further delivery. Also we will try partnership triangulation at community level.

It's very good news for me but not only for me but all for children who are need in the community schools. Many children in community schools have not access to reading materials and they are limited in text books. Even these books are in English will be okay for ECC, because our main focus is develop engish in community schools. But we request for shipping charge up to Kathmandu and then we can deliver up to rural areas.

Sometimes you get lucky with the book donors, sometimes not. I think its just that they get so many requests that they cannot respond to them all.

Am surprised you are having problems registering with Stuff Your Rucksack and mmmule as I know several people who are listed on those sites. Drop me a message (either via Nabuur private message or Facebook) to let me know what is happening, and I will try to help you work out why.

Yes, once you are registered with mmmule, you can post requests of items that you would like travellers to bring to you. You do this on the 'get stuff' page, use the 'Angel Mule/Charity' category.

If you have a look at the 'deliver stuff' page, you will see what others have posted. And 'About Us' explains more about how it works.
