Krishna Primary School Water Project

The students at the school in Gamauli presently have no access to clean drinking water while at school. It causes many of them to leave after a few hours in the classroom.
During Min's recent visit to the school, he met with a merchant in the local market and discussed piping water from the market to the school. The cost estimates are attached.
We are asking volunteers with experience in engineering to look over the proposal and make any suggestions or ask any questions that the proposal may bring to mind. We do have a possible donor to help fund the completion of the project.

Hi everyone! I was able to talk to Min this evening very briefly. He was utilizing a friend's laptop on battery to check in. He has not been able to check his email due to lack of electricity and he does not have his laptop with him during this visit. He also was not able to bring the digital camera, so picture updates will have to wait until he gets back to Kathmandu to scan in the photo's he's taken.
Min reported that the new toilet is under construction. The pit has been dug and materials collected to finish it up. Materials have also been collected for the water tank. Two skilled laborers are working on building the tank.
Min said they were stopped for about 3-days on the way to Gamauli due to a strike arranged by local people, but they finally arrived and were able to get working. Min has not been able to check into Nabuur due to his lack of computer access and electricity, so I wanted to let you all know the good news from his brief update.
All the best-
Jennifer

Madam/Sir: I am from Ethiopia; the developing country in the east Africa; the society from which I came out (Dano district or Sayo village) is economically low, only 25% use pure water, on average only about 66% children have an access to education, there is problem of education quality, problem of large population density, large number of unemployed individual, poor sanitation and hygienic problems, lack of awareness and information on HIV/AIDS and different developmental issues, deforestation and many other problems are there. That is way I need information and support to communicate these problems to the Donors and supporters, and the ultimate goal is to be supported to fulfill and enhance the already started developmental activities of the society and the Government to overcome such huge problems. Please, see the pictures of Slum area and unattractive town; Children are fetching water from a spring at http://www.nabuur.com/en/village/buterere/project/task/find-web-hosting-...
