Hi Josephat
Getting hold of equipment from overseas is not always very easy - there are organisations that donate it, but they receive a lot of applications so there is lots of competition for limited resources. Some (but not all) also charge for shipping it to you. And you need to make sure you have the proper Kenyan non-profit documentation so that you don't need to import taxes etc.
Having said that, you could try some of the following. All have further informaiton and application forms on their sites.
Gered Gereedschap
http://geredgereedschap.nl
They are a Dutch organisation so the majority of the site is in Dutch, but there is an English page that contains appplication form and guidelines at http://geredgereedschap.nl/download_english_documents
Will send to any developing country
Tools With A Mission
http://www.twam.co.uk/
Application information on the site. Will send to any developing country
Work Aid
http://www.workaid.org/
Application info at http://www.workaid.org/wkaidapply.html
They send to a small number of countries, including Kenya
Derde Wereld Werkplaats (Third World Workshop)
Main site in Dutch - http://www.dwwbreda.org/
English page - http://www.dwwbreda.org/english
They send to a small number of countries, including Kenya
TWAM charges for international shipping. The others do not, although you would still have to pay any costs associated with local collection, customs charges etc.
Bramuel, the LR of Kayole-Soweto (Arrow Web Hospital) has experience of receiving donated items from abroad, so may be able to advise on paperwork etc.
I would expect that it should be possible to get hold of some business education material locally, as there must be many groups doing what you want to do. Also check out some of the documents and links at http://www.teachamantofish.org.uk/resources.php as some of it is aimed at teaching business skills to young people who are not in school.
As to art and craft, can you look at the possibility of making from local recycled materials?
Mary
Hi Mary,
Thanks for the list, am going to check the requirements for support and submit the application for the request as soon as possible because we are running out of time. We will appreciate for more funding opportunities hence request more neighbors and friends to participate in the task.

Hi volunteers,
Fountain Youth Group has contacted some organizations regarding equipment and tools funding but are yet to respond. We kindly request individuals to support this task even if its donating one tool / equipment, the group will be close towards realizing sustainability and self reliance. Kindly send to the group any tool / equipment.

Dear volunteers,
Your support towards this project is worth because have visited the village and was amazed on how this group is impacting local youths. Friends, I request you to give them any kind of support and they will become sustainable because this is part of their strategic plan and am sure they will realize it because they have good strategic plan and have started working on hence it only requires your support to realize what is on the paper. Have offered myself during free time to work on the project. Kindly contact the group or visit it and you will be shocked on what the group is doing using limited resources.
Dear Link groups,
second hand computers are no longer accepted in Uganda and the organizations that donate computers have been refusing applications from Uganda because of this ban.Really it is painful as NGOs are non-profit to manage the cost of a new brand computer.I wish the NGOs board of Uganda petitions the government to lift this un developmental ban and give a chance to NGOs to recieve a limited number of second hand computers for vocational training and office use purposes.
It is really absurd.
Eryeza.
Hi all,
Sorry for the inconsistency to update you on what has been happening in the village. The group has managed to approach TWAM,TOOL WITH A MISSION AND GERED GEREEDSCAP for the donation of tools and equipment hence all of them have approved the group into their program thus we are only waiting for the communication on when the tools & equipment will be dispatched. Am grateful for all the volunteers hence the group will start the preparation of clearing them.
