Donating Goats to Volunarable Children in Mawoito

What great joy we had when orphans of Mawoito received goats to help them get education donated by Ginger.

Hmm,
It was a great day yesterday 12/10/2009 when one of our LR of Mawoito Tonny Mulambe invited me to officiate in the giving out of the Goats that were donated by Ginger.
Before that Esther from Netherlands clled in with the local reprasemtative of Kisozi which was good to have friends visit me after that i ran to Mawoito where-
We gave out 7 (Seven)goats to 7 orphans of the project, the project consists of 350 beneficiaries but it was a good start when Ginger got concerned and donated to this project, thank you Ginger.
In Febraury when Pelle visited Uganda he organised Meet 2conect and it made a big impact on the Ugandan LRs people are coming together and working as team creating the Uganda village thank you Pelle now we know each other and many people are still joining, so we can run to one onother for help and advise.
LR Tonny Mulambe was very happy with the donation and he promised to use a revoloving methord so that at least each child can get a start for a better education.

This is a very heart warming story. I hope that this news spreads so that there can be more people who will donate. It is amazing to think that most children are spoiled with technology and yet these children are happiest with a goat. sauce

Dear Rachel - I have recently started my "One Goat Per Child" which I believe can support a child's education for 10 years! In most villages, education is $30-35 per year. Selling one baby goat per year will pay for the year's education! And most of the goats who have birthed so far have had twins!!! When I can become a foundation and offer tax deductions, I will be able to get much larger funding than I am now - and really expand the program. 7 goats is Nothing when there are 350 orphans in a village - but we have to start somewhere. Thanks for your kind remarks.
Regards,
Ginger :)
