The Jinja East village: Revelation Children’s Ministries Step one

JINJA EAST VILLAGE (Revelation Children’s Ministries international) in providing opportunities for the marginalized children in Uganda. RCMI is a registered charitable indigenous non-governmental organization based in Jinja District, Uganda, Africa and is being run by volunteers.

One of the core programs of the organization is for Orphans Venerable Children, and Street Children Education. This program is the focus of our current involvement in Jinja East, which is one of the poorest villages in Uganda. It has a high number of orphans and school drop outs that RCMI wishes to address.

In partnership with nabuur.com, the Jinja East (Revelation Children’s Ministries) was created. The primary goal of the Project is to provide SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION for the 0phans, venerable and street children, who are the main beneficiaries of RCMI in Jinja East Village. The Project aims to do so through a holistic approach in community development.

One of the Tasks of the Project is securing SCHOLASTIC MATERIALS/SCHOOL SUPPLIES (books, pens, art materials, bags, etc.) for the 200 children whom RCMI sends to different schools. This is part of the Resource Mobilization activities of the Jinja East neighbors in Nabuur.

In response to this call, one of the village’s leader here in Jinja East village offered his building f to the village to open up a kindergarten (nursery school) to accommodate the little children of our village the building is offered but needs a complete renovation infact the all thing needs to be rebuilt to enable us get permission to operate the school as you can see in the picture there is a call to all neighbors to help find a way to secure fund to renovate the building in prepara6tion to next year beginning term of the year 2010 Jinja East village would have began the journey .

On our reached the offered place is under the council and its develop under the council plan and right now no permanent building is allowed and for that reason we are only allowed to build temporal buildings and that’s using timber so we need timbers, nails, iron sheets cement and stones for flow attached is the budget for constructing a three partition building to accommodate the baby class, middleclass, and top class

At present, the neighbours of Jinja East Village and RCMI are working hard in pursuing the tasks of the Project. Aside form securing SCHOLASTIC MATERIALS, uniforms, teachers and recruiting the little one who will be the pioneers of the fruit of our village the other immediate tasks to be accomplished is constructing the building on the offered peace of land located at Rippon falls landing site on Jinja East village.
Jinja East Village welcomes those who wish to share their ideas, time and effort in ensuring the success of the Project. You may visit the Project at: http://www.nabuur.com/en/village/Jinja East. Join the Village and take part in the Project to address the call for sustainable education for the orphan children in Jinja East, because through “securing their education… we are securing their future.”

Thanks with love
