Thank you for offering to volunteer in Jinja. I read your post and thought i could offer you some basic information. First and foremost, Jinja is politicaly safe. Its located near the central part of Uganda that has enjoyed peace constantly for the past 26+yrs. Jinja is a tourism hub, the source of the nile etc and actually hosts some of Ugandas most interesting attractions , its relatively developed compared to most towns as it was once not sure if still is, Ugandas industrial town. ummmh, the roads, main roads alright but dont think about that just gladly enjoy the many pothole rides its an experience the Netherlands doesnt offer. indeed another tourist attraction initself lol. However although i am talking about Jinja in general as a district is a vast place and the development of the area in which you are visiting will depend on the closer it is to the town. Interesting project you involved in, however for me to be able to assist, i need to know which handicaps they have. I will send more info if i get it about Jinja.
