My name is Carly, I am an Architect in Australia. I have worked on a number of school projects here in Australia, including some in remote Indigenous communities.

If you still need assistance with this task, I would be happy to do some research. It would be assistance if you could give me some indication of what your local building materials are and what the local community is generally fam,iliar or experienced building with.

Welcome to the Village and Thanks for joining. We are really happy to receive such an expert into our village and are glad to see your interest.

We definitely need your assistance for these steps. If you can observe our main goal is to build primary school in Jinkfuin. Presently the school is limited to the space lent and hence the local project is facing issues.

Our expertise does not necessarily include expertise in the building construction and hence we will definitely require your expertise. As you see the first step is to find example of low-cost projects already existing and copy the methodology. If you can find some examples and guide us through, it will be really great!

Thank you for your discussions and concerns. Here in Africa schools can be built with low cost material like sun dried mud bricks moulded in the vicinity. The doors and windows can be made with local wood.Two metres lenght corrugated iron sheets which are not as costly as others can be used. Plywood sheets produced by local companies are also cheap. Not much cement is used when built with sun dried mud bricks.Cement is also locally produced.

I got some spare time. Look I have research the net and come up with some examples of low cost school building materials. Funding suggestion and project design are now online and available for you. Hello All,

I have collected some research for low-cost buildings in Africa and other areas.

I am finding that the Nabuur Wiki is a little difficult for displaying the research and pictures so I am setting up a web page/ blog where you will be able to see all the information and images in one place. From the website people will also be able to make comments or offer other suggestions of school buildings.
