My name is Marsha Denis. I am happy being in Kabondo.
Firstly, I do not know how far you have managed furthering this task.
However, I suggest that the project to be writen should have a component of HIV/AIDS Awareness, Agriculture crop growing (it may involve market oriented agriculture initiatives) nutritional aspects to cater for the orphans as well as say a crafts making and knitting component geared towards assisting families raise incomes. Through this the community will be able to look after and care for the orphaned and vulnerable children.

Welcome in Kabondo! It's wonderful to have a facilitator! I think your proposal of a project name is OK, a little bit too long, but that's OK. I wonder if you know who or which organization will be or already are the project owner? Is it Kabondo community (is a CBO?) or maybe an NGO? Is it registrated?

Hi there,
The plan looks quite brief. The aids awareness- who is it targeted at, the relatives of the orphans or the orphans themselves? There should be different methods of aids education for young children and adults. What will you teach them? You need to provide condoms and teach how to use them if you want to prevent the spread of aids withing the community. I may just be stating the obvious here, not too sure. If there are to be aids education/ counsellings then they should be advertised in villages so that the maximum number of people can be targeted. The meeting should be on a day/time that most people can attend. Who will organise, co-ordinate and speak at meetings. It should be a skilled person who knows what they are talking about.

What crops will be grown? Are they sustainable crops? Are they able to be grown in the area? Will they feed the community through all 4 different seasons? How many crops need to be planted? Should there be different types of crops? Is there sufficient water supply? Can it reach the crops? Where will the money to buy crops come from? Who will take care of the crops? Does the community understand how to harvest, look after and prepare the crops to eat? Does the community have the tools needed to tend to the crops? Where can they obtain the tools? Can members of the community make the tools?

I can't remember the third part of the proposal, sorry.

Also, are we forgetting this is about the orphans? Their parents have just died. They should be provided with counseling! Perhaps better access to education so they can have a better life.

i have recenty join in . well the main issue here is the combination of words that fine .kabondo community centre for rehabilitation(kccfr) (in short open to suggetion)
to add on that well the name but mostlly registration need to be adress . and he drafting of bussiness plan . we need to have a way forward and get the number of children that are staying with other parents. and the list of supporting family ew have to have the data soon

Hello Asha,

This task is actually closed now. There are not two proposals to combine into one. If you look under the resource section, you will find the project proposal as well as a number of other documents. Please take a look there and let me know if you can find them.

Also, Henry is no longer the facilitator for Kabono as he has moved on to other things.
