Village facts

  • In our community there is a high number of people living with HIV/AIDS as well as orphans who lack and need basic care. Because of this problem they suffer and die fast.

  • In the Khama village, there are a large number of youth who have not gone to school and they have neither skills or knowledge. But these youths have a talent for sports and games, especially football. This can become a good source of income in their lives.

  • In our community, more children under 10 years of age die of Malaria than any other disease. An average of 9.5 children die of malaria every day in our community. Malaria is a leading cause of death in Kehama followed by AIDS.
