Hello
I have attached the latest EOC Plan. It has some general document formatting, reworked introduction and some of Tom's comments posted in a previous version of the Plan. Some of Tom's questions are still outstanding and are as follows - any hints welcomed:

3.4 Out-migration
"The departure of EOCs’ affluent population has had both negative and positive significant impact on the local landuse, the wildlife found solace in the deserted EOC"
Tom's Question: What are these negative & positive impacts?

3.10 Ranch Activities
Relating to the bullet list of activities, Tom's comment: I THINK YOU NEED TO DEVELOP EACH OF THESE POINTS AND THEN TRANSITION INTO THE ECONOMIC ACTIVITY

4.5 Wildlife Utilization
"Wildlife has no direct impact on human life;" Tom asks if "Wildlife may not seem to have a direct impact..." would be better, suggesting the impact *is* there but its not apparent or appreciated; which is the real drive of the rest of that chapter. Any objections to rewording that initial sentence?

4.6 Wildlife investments
There is a bit of confusion what the opening paragraph is about. I will try to understand it and see if I can make it clearer. However, any assistance on this welcomed.

4.7 Wildlife Problems
Requires expansion?

5.4 Proposed Wildlife Users
Does this list require some expansion for each bullet point?

6.2 Equipment & Facilities
Does this list require some expansion for each bullet point?
-----------
I also have Heather's comments from her earlier post to consider too.
I hope the Plan is seen as improved.
Regards
Dave

Hi to you all,
Well done to Dave and others who have worked on the plan to date.
I'm going to download the plan now and try to work through it over the next 10 days and see how I can help you in your work and goals.
My initial comment would be on point 4.5.
My reaction is that this old wording is completely the wrong attitude to take to wildlife. Even more so when the project’s aim is to create an ecotourism camp ! So, certainly, I would change the wording as you suggest. But it needs to be much more than simply wording. There’s a huge issue of genuine attitude towards wildlife. A positive attitude to wildlife and its critical role in an environment and its biodiversity is central to ecotourism thinking.
So let me read all and revert then.
All the best.

Hello Barry & Dave,
I hope your both fine and enjoy the warm weather of the summer .I am ok too just came back from NY UN conference .I thought it is good idea touch base again so we get t o know how far Dave have been able to put he arrangement of the Plan
Since the EMPAASH OLOIRIENITO HAVE BEEN REGISTER as a land owners community Trust, the members now are preparing to open a bank account to put their subscriptions. It will be better if we can arrange the conservation plan and submit it to donors for funding

Hi Paul
Its great to hear from you. I have not made much more progress on the plan. I posted up some of Toms comments some time ago, hoping for some more feedback on them; and I was also hoping we would get Barry's comments too, but it appears they havent been on Nabuur for some months now.

However, Paul, what are your comments on the Plan as it is now?

Here's a slight update of the Conservation Plan: a new front cover and page numbers. It makes it a bit more consistent with the Dev Proposal Paul posted in another task, and I think it looks a bit more professional.

Dear Paul,

Possibly Dave, Barry or Stanley would like to help with venue & corporate sponsorship letters as well. We can use a standard letter we have from John and email them out. We can then be consistent with our goal.

Did we hear anything from Kenya Wildlife yet?

Sincerely,
Heather
