LUYODEFO is gradually becoming now open to new opportunities to improve community life. However, these opportunities will create new challenges among the community and the organisation that we must address.

Firstly, we have secured a grant to from 1 % Fund, New York, to promote beekeeping related activities and local employment opportunities to fight poverty and food insecurity.

The challenge here maybe, as we intensify our activities, community demand for the services will drastically increase. At organizational level, we also need more in terms of facilitation to reach, train and serve the beneficiaries.

Secondly, we are negotiating a new partnership to install solar suitcases on a local public health centre. So far, the offer of one solar suitcase has been approved. The solar system will help light the centre with no any form of electricity.

The challenge here maybe, will the system be well maintained? As solar system may need replacement of batteries, lamps, etc. Or do well need a special fund for this purpose either at health centre/organizational level?

You can also appeal internationally for help in the solar Campaign that we have started for our local health centre(s).
