Hello Seher,
Villages are the heart of NABUUR. These are the places where Local Representatives show their initiative and their project and ask for assistance. To get used to the idea of a Village and to do a positive contribution you can, please try out the following:-
1. Search for a Village (for example by location, ......)
2. Read the stories (either in the News or in the Project room)
3. Rate a posting you think is wonderful (takes a few seconds to do). Your rating will help a Village to get more exposure on NABUUR.com.
Use this forum to share enthusiasm, ........., difficulties and suggestions, to ask questions or simply say hi to other Neighbours by Reply to this task. Don't forget to read the others' suggestions to do a small positive thing to get started!
I hope this will give you some picture and help you do something

Hi Seher
Welcome to Nabuur!
Sylvia has already given you some good advice, I thought I would give you a little more information about the Nabuur site and what you can do here.
As you will have seen from the home page, Nabuur links communities in developing countries (known as Villages) with online volunteers from around the world (known as Neighbours). The Village Local Representative (LR)decides how they would like volunteers to assist them, and splits these needs up into a series of Tasks. Tasks are listed in the Project Room section of the village.
This village is Kajwenge in Uganda, and Sylvia is the LR. If you click on Project Room, you will see all her tasks. The other pages in a village give background information about the community and the organisation that is running the project, show the latest news etc.
If you decide that you wish to assist with any of Kajwenge's tasks, it is a good idea to join the village as a neighbour. To do this, click on the Join link on the right hand side of the page. When you join a village, all posts to that village are listed on your My Nabuur page, which makes it easier to follow the discussion.
To find tasks in other villages, you should look at the Volunteer Opportunites page, and the Villages page where you can search for villages in specific countries or for specific interests. Some villages are active and others are not - it is a good idea to start with one where there has been recent activity. Also take a look at the Groups page where you can meet people who share similar interests e.g. education or agriculture.
The site can seem rather confusing at first, but it does get easier as you get more familiar with it, so please take some time to explore!
Hope that helps!
Mary
