Bus for the practicum for nurses training.

One of the basic requirements for nurses/midwifery training is a bus for practicum. With this, students can be taken other major hospitals for their practicals. We are looking for a possibility of acquiring a second hand or used bus with capacity of 50-60 seats to support us in this training. There may be institutions out there who have used but still sound and in good condition who could donate this to us. I a m inviting neighbors to discuss ways in which we can acquire a bus for our nurses training.

The focus could be on outsourcing of all non-core activities. Instead of owning a bus, it might be a better option to rent the bus.
Outsourcing of activities will help others in the region to improve their businesses.
This will ultimately help the entire region, since no single business can prosper if most other businesses in the region are languishing.
So as you grow, ensure that all others in your region grow with you.

Owning a bus is a must by nurses training national supervising body. It is demanded of any nurses training school in Uganda by the authorities for practicum activities. We own a lorry and had proposed we could use that but did not oblidge.

This is great, Stanley. You can sell the lorry and buy a used bus. This will totally eliminate, or considerably reduce, your need for funding from external sources.
Best wishes

Hi Vijai,
We have discussed this option in our committee. One thing we all agreed was the lorry was a very useful asset in the project. It is supporting in the building project to ferry all building materials; it is also used to support training in delivering fuel wood which is used for cooking and was being used by farmers to help them sell their goods to the market hence earning some small income that is helping us to move on. So we were encouraged by friends to source for bus and as they put it that there was a chance of getting second hand bus donated by some good samaritan. The purpose of putting up this tasks is to widen the chance for some good samaritan besides other options we are trying out locally.
Thanks for your ideas
