Hi Neighbors and friends,
I have been given an opportunity to attend a conference in Toronto Canada. All expenses related to conference attendance are covered. I am only supposed to pay registration fee of euros 290. I am requesting for your support in this matter which i must comply to in one weeks period.

Hi,I think that it is a honor to take part in the conference.Regards to the environment problem,it is a very important problem for the world.I think that many love the earth people who engage the project.It is a good thing.All of us cannot particepate the conference to statement what we think.But we can do it from the small thing of every day life.I think all of us will spport you to make a good plan to improve the environment problme.

It seems like they have gone to a lot of trouble to make their website look credible, but all together it doesn't seem to be a real conference. I'm sorry to say, but it looks like your friend is right and that the conference is not genuine. I went to www.mtccc.com, which is the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and they do not list the conference on their site. Hi Stanley, I have worked at this conference and this one is genuine! Lol. It is always done along side COP15 and COP16 , the next one is in Mexico city, next year.

Just glad I could help. I agree it's crazy! What amazes me is the effort they put into the website to make it look genuine. If they put all that effort into doing something legitimate, they could probably make just as much money and do something worthwhile. You are right though - as long as we have this forum, we will see them coming!

(I know 3 LR's who have received something similar in the past) It should act as a reminder to everyone on Nabuur to be very diligent about such scammers- they are getting more and more sophisticated each year and will happily set up bogus websites etc. I wish there was a scam alert area on Nabuur to assist other unsuspecting people. Hi everyone, I'm very pleased that you have not parted with your precious money Stanley.
Unfortunately this was not the first time an LR on Nabuur has received such an email- just the info is a little different. (I know 3 LR's who have received something similar in the past) It should act as a reminder to everyone on Nabuur to be very diligent about such scammers- they are getting more and more sophisticated each year and will happily set up bogus websites etc. I wish there was a scam alert area on Nabuur to assist other unsuspecting people. It would be very helpful.
