Hi Carolyn,

As you may be aware from our background, we are concerned about degradation of wetlands. As a result the communities are now experiencing shortage of water for domestic use caused by drying up of water sources. Besides this the rainfall pattern is also very unpredictable and has resulted in food shortages in the household and community level. The use of seeds processed from companies for seed is undermining the agricultural biodiversity and to a greater extent contributing to food shortages.

So what we intend to do is to support our communities to sustainably use wetlands and select, store and process good stock of local seeds and plants as planting materials thereby increasing agribiodiversty.
