Literacy Center

Status: Finished

Excitement continues to roll around the school as parents find learning an amusing task. 72 parents have been enrolled into school and are placed according to their abilities and ranging from primary two to grade eight(8).

The teachers are also excited to have such a rare group of learners. It is wonderful and excitement has also hit all of us as we see our Dream come to pass.

The learners are even suggesting that they start wearing uniforms to make their learning formal. We are still looking into their request as management.

Rejoice with us. God has Done It

This is great for you guys. I am particulary interested in having adults learn, not just because I specialized in Adult Education but because of the enthusiasm that they exhibit as soon as they get into 'The learning mood". These adult learners had better be the ones to decide to put on uniform than uniforms being imposed onto them! You know how complex they could be. Go! Go! Go! The excitement is catching us too here in Ibanda, Mbarara. We also plan on extensive adult education programme though were are first campaigning for girls to keep in school. A few community members have taken to door to door campaigns for this cause. I know this strategy would be good for you as well so as to keep numbers growing. I suggest you also devise ways in which to retain these high numbers of adults in school, since some will be prone to dropping out! All the best! This photo shows how forward and backward linkages of formal education will benefit both children and adults. -- Patrick Jude Mugisha [teaser] => Oooops. This is great for you guys.
