Secure a full dental kit for Arrow Web Hospital

One of the next items that will be of great use to Arrow Web Hospital is a full dental kit. If the hospital is able to secure a dental kit, they will then be able to employ a dentist. This will allow the hospital to accept referrals and treat people in their local community who presently have no other local options for dental care and oral hygiene. They would also be able to offer training and education to the local community on the importance of oral health.
For this task, we are asking volunteers to research possible options to help Arrow Web Hospital secure the dental kit they need.

Hello! I have reviewed the proposal and have now emailed it to you Jennifer.
Bram- excellent job on the proposal- and to anyone else who helped. It reads well.
Best of luck
Carolyn
Hi Caro
Thank you and you have done a nice Job,am so greate of you,
Bram
Bramuel heard back from the FDI World Dental Federation (www.fdiworlddental.org) today. Unfortunately, they were not able to help us, but they did forward the proposal to the Kenya Dental Association. They told him about the Live, Learn, Laugh partnership project in Kenya and said that they are working in part of Soweto, so hopefully we'll have a positive response or be able to partner with them in some way. We'll keep you posted regarding what we hear back!
Kind regards-
Jennifer
Hi everyone-
Bramuel informed me that the funds from the Safaricom Foundation grant have been dispersed. The supplier where some of the needed dental equipment can be purchased hopes to be able to deliver the equipment to the hospital later this week. Arrow Web Hospital hopes to begin limited dental services the week of December 1st and also plans to add a Dentist to the medical team.
Please note that the new equipment is only a portion of what is required to comprise a full dental kit. Additional funds are still needed for the hospital to offer a full range of dental services to their patients. The Safaricom grant is extremely helpful and pushes them one step closer to achieving this goal.
Kind regards-
Jennifer
Cogs. Bramuel, i am happy for you. Believe this is a step forward improving quality of care!

Dear All
Us you have seen recently we managed to receive some funds from safaricom foundation to purchase some of the dental instrument.
The instrument was delivered to the hospital on Dec 3 with the supplier since then the hospital has been been not able to start offering the services to the community on two issues
1, that the hospital has not success fully get funds to purchase the dental seat which is come to realize with the hospital that is the most expensive as we was exeptected,
2,The hospital has not yet get the Dentist.we have adivertist the Job now.waiting to interview people.
So if we have someone who know where the hospital can secure a cheaper dental seat to let us know please.
thanks to safaricome foundation
