Medical Volunteering in Africa - Free Volunteering Online Guide

http://www.serveyourworld.com/articles/274/1/Medical-Volunteering-in-Africa

This is a portal which provides access to various NGOs some of them sending volunteers in the health care area. I have checked some of the sites and I believe that this portal has potential in terms of helping the community look for human resources.

International Healthcare Opportunities Clearinghouse
http://library.umassmed.edu/ihoc/viewall.cfm
lists organisations looking for medical volunteers. Most are American orgs who send volunteers overseas but there is one Kenyan group on the list. And some of those listed might be sources of volunteers

International Medical Volunteers Association
http://www.imva.org/
The 'Help Wanted' list shows hospitals all over the world. It hasn't been updated since 2006 so am not certain that it is still active, but it doesn't hurt to ask!
The 'Find A Volunteer' page lists people who would like to volunteer and what their skills are. Again, some of the entries are quite old.

Health Volunteers Overseas
https://www.hvousa.org/
Run their own volunteer programme but does not appear to  have anything in Kenya.
However their "Other Health Related Opportunities"
https://www.hvousa.org/ohvo.cfm page does list a few hospitals around the world so it might be possible to get Arrow added.

HealthCare Volunteer
http://www.healthcarevolunteer.com/
Lists medical volunteer opportunites around the world.
http://www.healthcarevolunteer.com/organizations/index.php gives more info on how to get listed. Not quite clear on the process - I think that anyone can add a general listing or you can Partner with their with their Direct Patient Care Program which appears to send one volunteer then, providing all went well you become an official partner. You may need to contact them for clarification on this.
