Unfortunate Situation

I just received the following bulletin,

“Last night, we had an incident where thieves broke into the school office and took cereals and other things in the school."

Web designer sought

We have received a request from one of our sponsors, Palm Security Services, asking if we can find someone to volunteer to develop a website for them for free and they would submit Ksh.10,000 towards our teachers salaries.

Overwhelming response from the community wanting to be a part of the workshops

Word about our up-and-coming two workshops has gotten around. We have planned for each workshop to hold 20-22 participants. And yet, more than 62 persons from the community have registered their interest.

Best Business Training Workshops

We are now setting up our two best business training workshops (Workshop II and III, Workshop I was held last April) to be held at the end of October.

Exams are coming!

The students in Kimilili are getting ready for time off school. But first, they have to take the exams!

Summer update

A quick update before summer vacation

Kimilili: First Business Training Workshop

When Rev Wasike, Millicent Aswata, Ericah Kiptoo traveled from Nairobi to Kimilili to give the CBSM women’s co-op their first business training workshop, they were hoping to teach a small group of business women how to set up their Village Phone Salons.

On the ground

Rev Wasike informed us recently that due to food shortages in Kenya, the daily rations for the children in the CBSM school are cut down to a cup of porridge at lunch time.
