Attaching from Global Advisory Council Members
"To date, more than 1000 PlayPump® water systems have been successfully donated to African communities, benefiting millions of people. We didn’t do this alone – we partnered with governments, NGOs, corporations, foundations, and others in order to install each and every pump.
The PlayPumps International Global Advisory Council (GAC) is a dynamic and diverse group of individuals committed to helping PlayPumps International achieve its goal of bringing clean drinking water to African schools and communities.
The Council provides funding, expertise and leadership to support our efforts. With their help, we are confident that we will meet our goal of providing funding for 4,000 PlayPump water systems in sub-Saharan Africa by 2010."

It would be good to go through some of the sources linked in this posting:

Seems like a lot of interesting funding sources are mentioned.

I have started a Twitter account for the project. You can see it at http://twitter.com/Kimilili. Started Wednesday and have 102 people following currently.
Also, received offers of help from a Rotary Club in Santa Clarita, CA and a water filtering company. I'll keep you posted on those contacts.
Lots of people willing to help. We need an easier way for people to donate. Checking into that too.

Thanks Willis, for setting up the Twitter account. We'll have to get together soon and figure out how to keep it alive and interesting.
The contact to the Rotary Club and water filtering company would be ideal. Let me know if we can do anything concrete. Hopefully, we will have our project plan in a form that we can present it by mid or late January.
bye, lia
