Newsletter #4 - December 2009
Dear neighbours of Kiserian,
I would like to thank all of you for your support and ideas throughout the year. It takes a lot of time and effort to volunteer, and we really appreciate every bit.
There is some progress in the village to report, even though a lot remains to do.
A short update of where we are:
- We still need some more (ideas how to get) basic necessities for the Sajos Academy Kiserian. These include
- food
- learning materials
- bedding
- computers
- uniforms
- toys
- Volunteer teachers are still needed, please post your ideas on how to increase the number of teachers.
- The project to create promotion materials (a video and a magazine) about Kiserian to generate funds is still ongoing, please contribute your ideas.
- We are happy to report that the Sajos Academy also offers an adult class now.
- The village is also still selling beautiful hand made bracelets, as well as belts, necklaces and head gear. Please contact Daniel for more information on these.
If you just joined Kiserian, please check our background information for more information on the village and the Sajos Acedemy Kiserian.
If you want to have a look generally at what you can do to help Kiserian, please have a look at our project page.
If you have any questions or comments about Kiserian, please don't hesitate to contact Daniel, the local representative or me.
Hoping that together, we will be able to make a difference in Kiserian.
All the best,
Marlen - facilitator for Kiserian
