Welcome to Our Website
My name is Daniel Mwangi, I am the local representative of Kiserian village on Nabuur. I come from the Kiserian village which is in the Kajiado district, Rift Valley province, down the slopes of Ngong Hills, in the Ngong Division.
We have a big community, but the majority are Maasai from the Maa community. They depend on domestic animals for their income and living.
Mostly this community do not take a girl like a child, they are not given the right to go to school or have education. Girls are forced into early marriage and to circumcision. They are exchanged for domestic animals for marriage to an old man of forty or above, while they are only six to ten years old.
The number two community in population within the village is Kikuyu to which I belong. We depend on farming for income and living. Now that we are intermarrying with the Maa community we are 'athoni' (Kikuyu word meaning in-laws).
We also want to start a counseling class for girls who finish their primary education in Kiserian village, kenya thanks all
