Finding a partner school

MariaZ had the great idea to join globalgateway (see link on the bottom) and get a partner school in the UK. This will have several advantages for Sajos Academy in the long term: It will be better connected, and after some time it is possible to share resources or raise money with the partner school. However, the main reason for connecting should not be money but an educational partnership.
So, the task here is to enter the school's details and motivation into the website and connect with a school from the UK.
As always, if you have any questions please contact Jennifer or Daniel, the local representative in Kiserian, or if it's a general comment or question you can post it below.

Hi Daniel,
did you finally register with globalgateway? I found another programme by the BBC, called world class. You can register your school there to find a sister school. http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldclass/find/join_world_class.shtml
Good luck with this,
Maria
PS: Marlen, just a suggestion, if you want that the new tasks can be seen by everybody and appear in volunteer opportunities, you can change the status to just started.
Thanks, Maria, I didn't know that! I changed the status now
Daniel-
Did you get registered with Global Gateway? What about the other organization that Maria mentioned below? Are you still looking for a partner school?
Jennifer

Hi Daniel
Now you are registered with Global Gateway, did you use the search options to look for schools that may be interested in partnering with you? If you find any that look suitable, you can then contact them and ask about starting a partnerhip. This might be quicker than waiting for a school to find you.

Hi Daniel
As I wrote a few months ago, I see you are registered with Global Gateway. Have you tried searching their database and contacting suitable schools? Don't just wait for other schools on there to find you!
And, as suggested by Maria, try registering with BBC World Class http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldclass/find/join_world_class.shtml
Also worth getting in contact with the British Council office in Kenya as they assist with school partnerships - am not sure whether they actually help schools to find partnersh, but they may be able to help.
