I am a university student from Johannesburg studing BA social work. I am doing 2nd year. I would like to help those in need.

Dear Ernst and Fikiswa Bam - welcome to Nabuur! You have already gotten pretty far for being new! It's good to see that you've created a profile for yourself and that you have found your way to the Kiserian village.

As you may have read, Nabuur matches projects in developing countries with online volunteers. Each project has a separate "village" in the Nabuur community. You'll see at the top several tabs including overview, background, project room, etc. This is where you can learn about the project and read about what has happened to date. The project room is where all the work takes place. Here you will find the major tasks that the village local representative in partnership with their facilitator feel are important priorities for the project to move forward on the ground. Each task has a description which should provide information on what needs to be done - some tasks are good for 1-person to work on, others require input from the entire group. Suggestions and ideas are welcome on possible strategies for moving forward, or perhaps resources to contact.

If you have questions along the way, the best people to ask are the village local representative (who represents the project on the ground) and/or the village facilitator (if available). Right now, Nabuur is undergoing some transitions, so sometimes it can be confusing who to ask for help when you need it. You can contact me too if you have further questions.

Can an individual send supplies (either personal or educational ). If so, how many supplies would the person have to send to make it worthwhile. How would they go about doing this? Also. are there more specific lists of which supplies are needed?

may i say thank for you concern about this and may GOD bless you abundantly ,yes you can send as individual ,like some year ago we receive fro kimberly and aldo ,also send it either personal or educational ,you can send any type of shoes and quantity,if you can donate for twenty or thirty kids ,this depends on you ,no specific list of the shoes needed thanks

receive alot of greetings from sajos kids ,we give them the news about you and they are happy about you concern.

-at sajos academy we have 85 kids ,we have also 13kids who are home-based because are mentally handicap and we also have other 37kids who are based to other school from grade 6 to grade 8 because of luck of luck of enough space and classes to put them ,at the moment our sajos academy has 8rooms which we use it as classes from nursery to grade 5 ,after a child complete grade 5 we took them to another school but we take care for them still while in that school
