Project: Sajos Academy Kiserian

Hi Marlen and David,
Now that we have identified quite a couple of organisations to contact, I think it would be good to write a letter of intent about what Kiserian is and does and what they need in order to be able to contact different organisations and not to have to write the same at each time. The letter could be posted as shared document and neighbours could use it at each moment they are contacting an organisation and just have to adapt it slightly.
I am quite busy at the moment, but maybe we could find somebody to write it.
best wishes,
Maria
Great idea, Maria, I will add it to the tasks.
all is well Mary ,marline will write the letter i gave her all the details what is in need and what we have ,also i will make some small collection am Daniel not David thanks for all you support of information and ideas through the discussion
thank
Sorry, Daniel, this is a misunderstanding. I am not going to write the letter, I added it as a task for one of the neighbours to do.
My job as a facilitator is to organise and distribute tasks, not to do them.
I posted the information I have from you in the task area.
i will try it today
thank
we sajos academy kiserian needs bedding, our school is having about 68 children s at the moment and we have problems with beddings
i contact the sleeping children around the world(SCAW)this is the reply
Dear Daniel,
As explained in my previous e-mail, the 2009 distribution has been
completed.
Your request has been sent to our partners in Kenya.
They will contact you to determine whether or not you meet the criteria for
receiving bedkits in 2010.
Kind regards,
Linda Webb

Maria
we have closed our school we are opening on September 5th ,but we do not have bed kits for the children s we need them very urgently by next term wishing all the best
What items do you need for each of the children? Are you looking for 2 sheets, a blanket and pillow and pillow case? Do the children need mattresses as well? Are there any beds? For each of the items you need, do you know the cost to purchase them locally?
hi jennifer
we are ok here in kiserian village and may you receive alot of greetings from all the members of kiserian village and our children s of sajos academy kiserian
we are happy about your concern about our children s God bless you
1.we need about twenty five blanket because we have 68 children s and they can share one blanket 3 children s
2,we need also need about 50 sheets because they will share two sheets three children s
3.we need about 30 pillow case
4.we need need 5 double Decker beds
the cost of this items local i list them below
1.blanket@kshs250 =3 dollar * 25 = 75 dollars
2.sheets@kshs 200=2 dollars *50= 100 dollars
3.pillow@kshs 200=2 dollars *30= 60 dollars
4.beds @kshs4000=48 dollars *5= 240 dollars
TOTAL COST 475 DOLLARS
Thank you for the information Daniel. I would think this would not be a problem, but have a few more questions. My thought is to get friends to sponsor a complete individual bed kit for one or more children.
1) You mention needing 5 bunk beds. If there are 68 children, do you not require 34 bunk beds (68 individual beds)?
2) No cost of mattresses has been mentioned. Does the cost of the bed include a mattress, or is that just the cost for the wooden frame?
3) If the children are in a bed of their own, how can they share bedding?
4) You mentioned the cost of the pillow, but not the pillow cases.
The cost I am looking at so far per child would be:
1 Bed - $24 (half the cost of the double decker [bunk] bed)
1 Mattress -
1 blanket - $3
2 sheets - $4
1 pillow - $2
1 pillow case -
I look forward to your response.
hi Jennifer
am sorry about the error occurred
1 mattress=12 dollars
2.pillows case=2 dollar
thanks
Sorry. I meant to ask too, Daniel, if I got sponsors for the bedding, if it would be possible for me to get photos of each child by their new bed/bedding, to give to the people who have donated it?
Do you have a digital camera available to you?
hi Jennifer
it is good to ask do not worry ,yes you will get all the photos per child with the bedding's we have a digital camera which we usually use
may God bless you
thank
