25 Beneficiaries receive goats

The 25 children who benefited were carefully selected from the list of orphans in the villages. They are total orphans and have no means of paying themselves in school. Hope Alive Uganda has little funds for scholarship but believe that if these children keep their gifts well, that will not only be a means of education but also permanent way of eradicating extreme poverty. They can sell the offspring and use the income for other things besides school fees.
HAU is going to be receiving the first female offspring and pass them to other orphans as "Passover Gifts" and they will always keep the remaining as their own. This method has been used and seen as more reliable in the continuity of the project despite shortage of funds in the near future.
The recipients were very thankful to the organization for putting a ray of hope in their lives.

After this mass distribution of goats, we have decided that HAU will no longer invest money in buying goats and giving them to the orphans (at least, for a long period to come). All in all, 39 orphans have now received goats from HAU. That means they should now be able to help themselves, passing on goats to one another and sustain this themselves. Naturally, HAU is going to monitor this next phase in the goats project. As for HAU investing money in this project, thanks to the 1 % club, HAU will now concentrate on a new project supported by the 1 % club.
