We have created a website for the Catering project: http://www.eddysrestaurant.co
The Catering project aims at attracting both local people and tourists and even offers women's groups and artists in Jinja a sales point where they can sell crafts.
On our website, we want to give information about places in and around Jinja that can attract tourists, such as Bujagali Falls, the source of the river Nile etc.
We felt we needed a volunteer here who could help us with that and reacted when Jennifer posted volunteers could be asked to help with tasks through UNV.
Jennifer posted the task and we received 5 applications. One of them was from Betty Birabwe from Kampala and her application appealed to us because of her impressive cv and the fact she is a Ugandan and thus knows best what to write about.
We have been in touch with Betty, who is ready to start on this task. We have sent her the necessary information and a copy of the brochure of the catering project. We might even team up together in Kampala, when time and space allows us in the next weeks to come.
