Hope Alive Uganda has established a very good partnership with organizations in the Netherlands, which means that thanks to those organizations, an hiv/aids centre will be set up in Kisozi, counseling groups for women and men with aids will be set up and the training program can become a structural, solid one. This task is to created to share experiences with other NGOs or CBOs carrying out a similar project.
Project: Supporting Orphans in Kisozi

Hope Alive Uganda is looking for 3 Ugandan employees for our hiv/aids center and training program: 1 hiv/aids trainer and 2 social workers. These employees must be from Kamuli district or Jinja district or being able to travel up and down to Kisozi, as Hope Alive Uganda cannot offer accomodation itself.
Job descriptions can be found here: http://www.hopealiveuganda.org/en/downloads/cat_view/36-job-vacancies/44...
For more information, or sending a letter and references, contact us at: info@hopealiveuganda.org
Is there anyone in Uganda that can assist us on where to obtain good books, video materials, cd roms etc. in e.g. Jinja which can be used in our library at the hiv/aids center in Kisozi? And which books, video materials etc. are suitable for use? We are in favour of obtaining the materials in Uganda itself rather than importing it from outside.
Hi Esther
If he has not done so already, Eddy could also post this request in the Ugandan LRs group. I am not sure how active it is, but it is worth a try.
Also try getting in touch with Kwawmpe village http://www.nabuur.com/en/village/kawempe as HIV/AIDS is one of their focus areas. They have been looking for similar training materials so might have found a local source.
Mary
Hi Mary,
Thanks for the advice! We are surely going to contact the people in Kawempe to see if they can direct us to good bookshops or any other good source.
