  • Dear Neighbours,

Please see attached a brief report on the undertakings when farmers received seeds.

Melon fruit seeds were distributed to at least 30 farmers as the first phase of the project. Beneficiaries were initially trained in melon growing and crop management practices. A field visit to each farmer was undertaken to monitor how gardens had been prepared.

  • In 2009 we witnessed changes at a scale that remains humble. This is a great joy for all of us at Sustainable Livelihoods International Uganda (SLINT-Uganda), members of the board, the on-line volunteers on the Global Neighbour Network (Nabuur) and the local people of Butikiro village and surrounding areas, in Kiboga district in central Uganda. We are pleased to share with you some of the innovative activities that we encountered in 2009.

  • HELLO
    I AM NEW TO NABUUR
i would like contribute even if it will be not in place here

i have some ideas about how manage facilities and resources so that you economize many things in a rural community

1/for exemple to save wood and anu other energy source, recipients must be some centimeters above the flames , where heat is most strong.
