Dear all,

You may know that we were working in our community from last year. Where we started our journey lonely while opening Fatima Jinnah Educational Complex. Where we were facing number of problems in different shapes but the suggestions of international & national volunteers persuaded us to expend our network & get support from local community.

So we arranged too many meetings with different people of our community. After measuring their thoughts, observing their views, their sense of realization & devotion we came to conclusion that there is a great charm to work on our projects with the support of local community.

In order to work in the better environment our members, board of directors & the whole team decided to register our own NGO. For this aim we thougt a lot & selected the name of NGO & its logo but the board members disclosed their interest to ask internationally from volunteers & all to suggest us through their kind views.

Name of NGO was decided unanimously HOPE Organization which stands for: Helping Oppressed & Promoting Education.

Now we need your kind views about the name, logo & monogram of NGO. Please suggest us as soon as possible.

Thanks a lot for your kind attention,

Adnan Khan.

Hi, Adnan and all the neighbours,

Personally, I love the logo, colour -wise especially number three appeals to me. I find the design is simple yet not boring and colourful enough not to be plain. What I really love about it is the contrast between hands bonded together with the wire and the two happy figures on the right. Honestly when I first looked at it, the hands in the wire looked quite disturbing to me but now I find it good. The situation in Pakistan is disturbing and I think that with an image like this something moves in you. You can feel the pain of the people. One hand is opened, like reaching out for help, the other made into the fist symbolizing fight…the fight for a better future, without losing hope. What I would change about it are the figures. I would do the two on the right in colour because they are of un utmost importance as they have a kite. I really like these two figures there, their arms stretched out, legs in the air, jumping of joy. The reason they feel joy is their access to education, which is so beautifully represented in the notebook or a book in the form of the kite. Education lifts you up, lifts you out of the poverty. For me the kite also represents freedom and that is what education gives you as well. So I would say the logo is very well done, lots of meaning in a clean design. Great!
Best to all of you,
Tanja

AOA and Hello to All

My brother the logos are confusing, too much rush there in the Logos.
It's not simple i my self don't like too much colors, fonts, vectors and clipart's inside a
logo. You can make the Logo but after that have cooperate ID's also, so think about it
how to design them then Create something very simple that
in the first look it's gonna say every thing :)

My suggestions:

If you can only add the vectors on the very left (leaf & Human), and write HOPE in
simple and running fonts. May it looks good, i like i mean any way that is what i think.

Hei,
the name for the organization is very good, and creative. The design is nice coloured in all four samples, but I think there are too many little logo's or pictures included. Instead I would choose one, and focus on it, as maybe make it bigger, and somehow place it on the side of the letters. I especially like the two hands, they could be increased in size, probably another colour, like red, something which will draw attention.

Hi Adnan,

Fist of all Happy Birthday to you!

I agree with what has been said on the too many details in the logo. I would also add that you should try to have a logo that can be easily printed in colour and in black and white, because often black and white printing is much cheaper. So you should try that everything comes out well on a black and white version.

best wishes,
Maria

Hi Adnan

Am very happy to see that you and others in the area are getting organised and forming a NGO! I like the anme.

I agree with what several others have already said about the logo. Logos are often printed/displayed at a very small size, so it can be hard to see lots of detail, so go with something simpler.

As Salman is a graphic designer, I am wondering if the two of you could work together to produce something that is simpler, but still reflects the work that your NGO will be doing?

the tied hands should be simplified and made bold, the two children holding a flag of book should be visible in the background and should not interfere with letters p&e.

The black and white logo looks great but it is not seen from the picture that HOPE is helping through education. The writing at the very bottom is super small and may be hard to read to find out how HOPE is actually helping. I think this education thing should be visible from the picture. Though I think there is not so much about the logo, the logo matters very little in comparison to what the organization does, how effective it is...some organizations have downright terrible logos but who cares...if their work is good then it is good. The work itself is the best promotion. And if some organizations are ineffective, the best logo in the world will not save them.

Best to all, Tanja

Hi neighbors,
i think it is not good to use so many small pictures as a single logo because it may confuse viewers. i suggest that you choose one single picture especially the one in black and white with hands up, then on the right hand of the picture put the word HOPE then under the word hope you put all those many small words. remember that a logo its self represents the vision and activities of the organization. then the colors used also have to represent the activities. for example green -for agricultural and environmental based organizations. please make make it very simple for people to understand what the organization deals with.
alternatively, the black and white is good, the abbreviations can remain at the bottom and then the small words can all be put at the right hand side of the picture and their size be increased a little more.

Dear All,
Salman's idea of the logo is quite simple and precise, It really gets the whole thing right. I suggest we choose from his. This is also due to production costs that would be incurred if the first suggestions are made. Salman's carries meaning and the production is less. Prodution here is in terms of placing it on items like T-shirts, Cups, pens, caps, tiles et al.

THANK YOU,

Salman-

For me, the graphic of the adult holding up a child evoke the impression that the organization is about maternal and/or child health issues. In the first example, in the background there is a kite with a book as a kite - that evokes thoughts of literacy/education which will be what NGO is focused on. I really like the kite because it brings thoughts of kite running - and with the book it brings thoughts of "chasing education/literacy."

Hi Jennifer

I completely missed the kite until you pointed it out, because its in the background and not very obvious. I also like that image because it is quite simple and the book links it to education which is the main focus of the organisation.
