During the two years of engagement with neighbors at Nabuur, a lot was achieved, among other things, planning the girl education project, developed proposals and designed the girl education website ( www.kyarumba.org ).However the need to have developed projects and site marketed and funded remained unresolved due to lack of a strong institution to spearhead the process. Our neighbors attempted to open up branches in the US, Germany and The neitherlands but were limited by logistical and legal requirements. To solve this problem, we did an organizational capacity assessment togther with the Bwimaniro Women’s Club our mother community based organization and collectively resolved to form a strong NGO which would build on their values.

Now the newly formed organization is The Bwimaniro Development Foundation ( BDF). With the BDF and its established office, structure and systems, most of the pending work here at nabuur.com will be accomplished and neighbors will have an opportunity to engage confidently with the community on different tasks on site and online with a strong organization( BDF) acting as their link. The BWC remains a key partner through which we will reach the community.
