Find foundation to set up and mobilize funding for Kyarumba Girls Education Fund

We just need you to brainstorm with us! You don´t need to have a special background or experience, just join our discussion and let us know who you think could be invited to our on-line donation event for the Kyarumba Girls Education Fund.

Remember that we need to reach as many people as possible but at the same time, it could be useful to reach people who would be interested in our project.

Visit the web-site of Kyarumba and get informed on everything you need to know: where is Kyarumba situated, who runs this project, what is its aim project, see photos of the local people...

Hello Eleftheria,

Hope you're doing fine out there. Making an on-line donation event seems a new to me and have no idea or background about the said activity.

How about making this donation box to be distributed to different establishments where the collection will be donated to the community? I hope this suggestion will solicit some interest.

Best regards,

Junjun

Dear Eleftheria,

You can also generate funds using a concert-for-a-cause. Of course, the proceeds of the event will be given to the organization.

Hope this gives us more options on what definite activity we are going to do next.

Best regards,

Junjun

Celebrating Eleftheria's achivements as Kyarumba's Facilitaor

Dear Friends,

Please join me to congratulate Eleftheria Skarlatou for the wonderful contribution she has made to Kyarumba's Village Girl Education Project.

Its a year and some months since Eleftheria started facilitating at our village and with her guidance and leadership skills, we have been able to achieve a lot ( The Kyarumba website, The Kyarumba Girl Education Fund working document and organising the online events.

Because of her commitment to Kyarumba, she has requested to graduate from being just a facilitator to being a village Neighbor so that she can contribute even more.

Join me to congratulate Eleftheria for her achievements at the village and for her continued commitment to contributing to Girl education in Kyarumba.

Nabuur is currently sourcing for us another facilitator and we will get informed very soon on the way forward.

With kind regards

Jessica

Dear Jessica,

I join you in congratulating Eleftheria for the magnificent job she has done to your village this past year. We know that without her guidance, patience and dedication it's hard to meet the objectives of your community.

We hope you continue with your work and hopefully Nabuur can find a replacement soon.

Best regards and more power!

Junjun

Congratulations on the work that you have so far accomplished! An education fund for girls in Uganda is a great idea and i think to sustain such a fund so that it can provide grants for girls in the community 10-20 years from now, you may need to think about involving alumni of Kyarumba schools that are employed in that community and around the country.

Hi Jacqueline,

Thanks for your encoraging words and suggestions. yes of course it will be important to involve the alumunai of this project and we are working towards that when we begin implementation.

Thanks

Jessica

Hello Friends

Welcome once more

We would like you to identify for us which organisation/foundation might be willing to partner with us to mobilise funding for our girl education Fund.

This task follows several discussions we held some months back how BWC may only be able to mobilise funding for the girl education fund with support from a legal foundation legally registered in any of the western countries, which can handle taxation, legal and eligibility issues for accessing any grant in these countries.

A partner for the BWC will be able to market our project to attract donation
Build trust and confidence that the Kyarumba Girls is credible and worthy supporting

Will also provide regular feedback and accountability to our donors on how their funds are being utilized

Monitor project activity in Kyarumba once funded; operate the BWC bank and online accounts to ensure money donated is put to proper use.

We also agreed that having a legal entity as our partner will build trust for our sponsors donating to the Fund and also we will be able to win credibility for our project.

quoting from my story we will be making a court of many colours for the girls for their empowerment.

Please in case you have ideas which foundation we should contact and how we can do it. please feel free to share.

Have a great stay here at the village

Hi all,

I think the following organizations might be good to start off with:
1. CAMFED International
2. United Nations Girls Education Initiative.
3. CARE International.
All are involved in community based partnerships for the education of the girl child, and I have mailed them. Hopefully they will reply.

Hi all,

I'm new to Nabuur and extremely excited to become involved with this brilliant site as well as this worthwhile project - in particular! I have experience researching foundations and would love to be of assistance. I'll do some work this week and will get back to you as soon as I have some suggestions.

Best,
