Neighbours get personally involved with the BDF: Grass-root fundraising effort

We have a well-designed animal husbandry program that we have been waiting to launch through grants. As you all know, the grant process has its own challenges. We are taking things into our own hands and challenging ourselves and others to help raise money to jumpstart this project.
We are asking friends and family members to throw parties in honor of Kyarumba. They not only share our story but will put families on the ladder of sustainable development. This is an easy and fun way to get involved. It is spending time with people you enjoy and helping others at the same time. For example, Halloween costume parties in the US are common so we have a few people organizing parties under the theme of "disguise for development."
These can be as simple as a dinner party where you encourage your guests to donate a small amount to our animal husbandry project.
For instance,
$25 is enough for a starter flock of chickens. This will decrease malnutrition and provide enough income to pay for school fees. The eggs are tied to girls education.
$125 will provide a pig with the appropriate training and housing. Additional piglets are $35 each. They yield high-profits and again help with nutrition and keep girls in school.
$150 is enough to get a goat and again we have similiar benefits.
In terms of logistics, we will provide handouts and pictures to share. I'm trying to make this an incredibly simple process so it will not require too much time.
Please contact me if you are interested in throwing a fundraising party.
