Help find potential resources of funding and potential individual donors

Status: Finished

This step can further be divided into three concrete tasks:
1)find website links of potential organizations willing to fund the project or willing to donate materials
2)find individual donors willing to give help
3)find contacting information of potential organizations and try to build up steady connections with them

We are looking forward to your help!

Dear M. Amitava,
How are you? It would be a great help if you could contact the automobile association and see what they are willing to do to help us. After you have an overall idea about how they might help and you have introduced the idea to them, you can put James in contact with them. He can continue the discussion from there.

Best,
Kristin

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well! I think it might be a good idea to start rough drafting the actual project plan (proposal). I am going to look at some general parts of a proposal. Can anyone help research? For example, I know that most proposals require the 'Organizational Background'. So we can start sharing ideas about what should go in this section? James, you are our expert here! Tell us about PARD.

I will put together a complete proposal later on with everything we post here.

Best,
Kristin

Dear Kristin,

Could you find some organisation with 501 status.

James

Hi neighbours,

The IRS (Internal Revenue Service) has a database online for registered charities and organizations.

http://apps.irs.gov/app/pub78

The search engine seems a bit broad (we would have to conduct searches by city and state) but it's worth a try.

Perhaps Kristin knows a bit more about this as she resides in the US...

It's worth a look, anyhow.

Have a great weekend :-)

Hello everyone,
Hope all is well! I know of a few organizations with the 501C3 status in the US. But I'm sure there are many of them all over the US, so the IRS database is a good resource, even though it is very broad. The smaller organizations I know of do not generally offer support to other charities, b/c they are a charity themselves. (does that make sense:) So we would need to look for organizations that fund other causes, these org. will most likely be the larger ones such as UN Foundation, for example. I will look for a few-if anyone else can also it would be a great help!

Best,
Kristin

I was asked today to join yr village; i could help structuring the proposal plan to make it a winning plan, since that was my job for 10 years. Would this be usefull or have you passed the milestone of structuring the proposal?

Dear Piet Brok,

Greetings from Madurai.

It is interesting to hear about your experience in preparing project proposal. Indeed we are in need of your support for forumulationg our project proposal. Can I add one more support from you? We are also in need of finding out suitable funding agencies that we can get support for our project for the benefit of the community for whom we are working for.

With warm regards,

James.

Dear Kristin,

Greetings from Madurai.

Kindly bear with me for the delay in responding your question. Yes You can initiate dialogue with the people in Trickleup on behalf of us. We wrote one enquiry letter some time back but we have not received any response from them.

with warm regards,

James.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the delay in response. I've been under the weather. Romina, would it be possible for you to contact Trickle up on our behalf? That would be great.

Hi Piet, how are you? Welcome to Madurai! Your experience with proposals will be very helpful to us. I think we should start by figuring out a format? What do you think? How would you recommend we begin putting together a proposal for our project? Thanks for all your help and support!

Best,
Kristin Meier
