Help find potential resources of funding and potential individual donors
Status:

This step can further be divided into three concrete tasks:
1)find website links of potential organizations willing to fund the project or willing to donate materials
2)find individual donors willing to give help
3)find contacting information of potential organizations and try to build up steady connections with them
We are looking forward to your help!
Project: Previous discussions

Hello All!
With the help and support of our good team of neighbours we're now poised at a very important juncture. It is very timely that we've received an opportunity to respond to the call for proposal for funding by Global Giving.
There are two forms to be completed and the deadline is April 10.One form is on organisation data and the other is on required data.
James has already done significant job for the organisation data.Based on his input,I'll place the form before you all for suggestions to improve and to complete the parts that are yet not complete.Once the form is completed,we can have a final review before submitting it.
The second form is being worked out following the proposal plan guidance provided by Piet.As soon as it is in a shape(it will take a day or two) and we all can review.
I'll be regularly interacting with you all on this subject and seek your valuable input and support for making a successful proposal.
Regards
Amitava
Dear friends,
Thank you for all th eneibhours who are involved in designing the project proposal for Global Giving. I was told that the organisation is already working with Nabuur and the third reference could be Siegfiried. Please consider also this and if we decide yes, we have to get the reference letter from Siegfried.
With warm regards,
James.

Hi Amitava,
Let me know if you need any help or information for the proposal. How is everything going? I was informed by Global Giving that we have made it to the next round! I will keep everyone updated.
Best,
Kristin
Dear Madurai & Neighbours,
Is it possible to have a view of the project plan + budget?
Through SIVA4KIDS Foundation (http://SIVA4KIDS.org) we are able to support a project regarding "children + youth", a project max. of 5.000 Euro but we need specific details about this project.
I searched around a bit but was not able to come across the project plan and budget yet so please send the project plan, budget and architectural drawing of this school construction and how many children are we talking about? Which ages? How many teachers are being planned? Who will pay their salaries? etc. to info@siva4kids.org
We may not be able to fund the whole school building but we might be able to fund two classrooms with chairs and tables.
If Global Giving can fund the whole school, I am more then happy for your hard efforts, Neighbours!
Goodluck with everything & United We Help!
Best Regards
Kumar
The Hague
Dear Jamesrajashekaran and Kristin
I am a new comer to the project...
There is an increasing demand for drivers in the major cities in India; the rural youth can be benefited immensely by getting employment within a short period
However, there are many registered driving schools in the big cities as well as in Madurai. Therefore, it may be difficult to obtain funding for the establishment and the running of driving school from scratch.
From a quick review of contributions, I am noting : 1) that some charitable institutions are ready to provide limited funds to help the youth; 2) it is not easy to find donors to establish a full fledge driving school from the start.
Therefore I would suggest that in the initial stage you may seek funding in term of scolarship for a limited number of deserving youth to obtain driving license through existing driving schools and insure that these youth after having obtained the driving licence are getting renunerative employment on a sustainable basis.
Hence the project proposal should consider:
1. Selection procedure for youth interested in driving and learning to write and read english; knowledge of english is also an important element for seeking jobs in private offices.
2. Seeking donors for scholarship for obtaining the driving licence. Also, bank loans could be also be tried if some donors could provide the required colateral...instead of moentary support.
3. Ensuring that the youth who have obtained the driving licence get a job immediately after the obtention of their licence. For this the organiser should be in constant touch with various organisations and private sectors requiring drivers.
Hope the above suggestion could be of help in the immediate future in assiting the needy youth in search of gainful employment.
Regards,
Francis
Dear Mr.Sivanathan,
Greetings from Madurai.
Kindly bear with me for this delayed response.
I shall send you the project plan and the budget through the email.
We are proposing to conduct a driving school not the construction of a school building. You could realise that the programme cost alone requested from the Global Giving. We will get an answer from the Global Giving within this week. Let us hope to get their support.
In the mean time we are involved with Campaign for Compulsory Education in which we are identifying number of children eligible to join in the school, dropouts and child labourers. During the school reopning season in the month of June, we have to bring all the identified children into the school. In bringing all the children into the school we need the resources to provide incentives for the family to send its children to the school. Could you please guide us to get this support.
With warm regards,
James.
Dear James,
Thank you for your project proposal which SIVA4KIDS.org looked into the last days and we came to the conclusion that this is not exactly the project which we are looking to fund for the time being.
We are launching a project for Street kids (homeless) in South India soon, which we see it as more needed with our funds for the time being.
Therefore do not let go of your motivation and I hope that there are other bigger organization's who do have more resources to give your village a helping hand.
In any case we keep in touch, James.
