We have the opportunity to post a project on GlobalGiving’s website! The GlobalGiving Open will provide two opportunities for Project Leaders to compete for a chance to post projects to globalgiving.com. This event has two rounds and thus two deadlines: by April 10 and by June 10. The GlobalGiving community will then vote on which projects should be featured on globalgiving.com. If your project is one of the top-rated projects, it will be available to be funded by GlobalGiving donors!

as I read about the wonderful plans for a communcity centre and the driving school, I started wondering about the possibility of corporate sponsoring. Wouldn't there be a chance that a big (Indian) company, such as Tata, is willing to sponsor the instruction cars? When I was in India I saw Tata cars and ads everywhere, so Tata cars with ads on them used as instruction cars could be a great possibility for them to show their corporate responsability. Another idea: CocaCola already sponsors traffic signs in India, so maybe they're interested in this project as well.
I don't know whether the project wants commercial sponsering, but I would look at the options if I were you.

It is very much encouraging to see all your messages. I should thank you for the time that you contribute to built the activities for the welfare of the children and the slum community in Madurai.

Regarding the Women Self Help Group, we are already involved with forming of women self help groups in the city slums and they are tied up with the bank for getting loans. With the driving school we are planning to train the teen agers who could not be enrolled in the school due to their age.

They could not be included in the self help group also due to their age.

We are also thinking as a follow-up of the training to get the vehicle for them for self employment after the training.

Mr james i came to understand that the drivign school project cost is 2.50,000/ this is a small project i think . Dear friend all the neighbours are taking much efforts to get project effective, but my suggestion is why cannot we plan to set up a multipurpose training school , includign nursing teacher training tailoring etc in a one complex by preparing a medium leval project please ? why iam saying is the efforts to generating funds is one and the same so we have to think multiporpuse training centre which includes drivingschool.

Mr james have you read the message given by Mr amitav basu dted 11th january of this year?I n this mesage he expressed his willingness for helping to selfemplayment programmes.So my sugesstion is,proceed drivign school project and at the same tiem please try to concentrate the selfemployment programmes.

1] Have you identified the place where the project is going to be set up for drivign school? or yet to be purchase for our project?
2] As per the discussion held by fecilitator miss Kristin, we must have to prepare a project plan immediately in order to submit the same to the funding agency. Have you prepared any detailed project for this driving school?

3]Mr james getting fund for the drivign school project is our aim at the same time, why donot we concentrate the to forming self help male group or female group?Mr james as you aware facts that in India,our Tamilnadu govt is supporting selfhelp groups financially by givign loan . male self help group is also eligible for gettign loan if the group is registered under Society Registration Act,with three years proper function .So Mr james why do no t yo u form a self help male group in order to get loan from bank for self employ ment project ?
