News from Notre Dame High School
As i had informed you that we were given a grant for building washrooms for the older girls. A representative of the organisation visited our school to do the evaluation of the funded project. She was so happy for the succuss of the project and promised that she will try to see our way for onother project for the boys.
David and Andra the 2 volunteers have now left to return home. We had a wonderful time sharing with them. We learnt very many things from them. David was teaching computer to the children as well as helping in the library. Andra worked in the library, teaching English and French. Both of them re-arranged our library and taught our teacher and some children new methods of operating a library. Now children's use of the library has increased.

Andra and David found the school through the Workaway website, where they left some great feedback about the time they spent there.
Teaching here has been nothing less than a wonderful experience. Me and my boyfriend David have spent only a month there but the students and the management of the school made us fall in love with their country and its people. We were extremely busy every day but we never felt too tired. We tried to spend every minute available with the more children and make the best of it. I highly recommend volunteers to go and help, as much and as long as possible.
As you can see, they really enjoyed their time at the school, and have promised to stay in contact and look for ways that they can continue to assist.
To help spread the word, they have set up a Facebook page for the school. If you are on Facebook, please 'like' it, and tell your friends!
