Dear Sir,Madam,friends,
We are requesting for friends to help us write/design or create a page for which we can use to fundrise money for building dormetories,one for the girls and another one for the boys.
The information,for this project is on this website.

Christopher would like very much to have a website constructed to feature Notre Dame High School. The purpose of this website will be to showcase the work that has been done at the school,as well as the projects that are ongoing-such as the dormitories. It will also help provide valuable information to prospective funders and help solicit individual donations.
Christopher feels that this will serve as a useful tool to which he can direct people when writing funding proposals to demonstrate the good work the school is doing.
For this task we need to:
1. Discuss cost/maintenance issues-who will house and maintain the website? Are there free options out there that would work?
2. Decide what content areas the website should have.
3. Write content for the website.
4. Discuss the best options money transfer and accepting donations online.

There are other villages that are creating websites, there are search options on the Villages page and also the Search page that will help you find them. We made great progressions and at this moment we don`t need help, but maybe later.
We need the following to know:
- we need the important data from 2009; for exemple special activities at school etc.
- do you have some news about the school???
- for fund raising: what does the school exactly need; some tables or chairs, blocknote`s or ....
Pleas send this so fast as possibly. The site is as good as finished.

Its good to hear you are making progress! I cannot answer all of your questions, but am sure Christopher can when he is next online.
From a funding point of view, the school has many needs which are listed under other tasks: books, laboratory equipment, sanitary pads, bikes, mosquito nets items for the girls dormitory - beds, bedding etc. On a larger scale they are also hoping to build a dormitory for the boys, another water tank, more toilets, solar panels, money to set up income generating businesses within the school and for families/guardians of students. I don't have details of overall costs.
To get the website up and running, you could include general information and the full details could be added later. That will mean that Christopher can see what you have done so far and can tell you what other things he would like to see on the site.
Once the site is finished, will you be able to keep it up to date, or are you hoping that other people can do that?
Did you read that Pelle from Nabuur visited the school last week? He has taken some video and I assume he will post it here or on Youtube. You can then include a link to it on your website too.

I have not heard any more from the students. I know that all the teams taking part in the Worldschool project (which includes those creating the website) had a meeting last week where they had to prosent their work.
Students, please can you tell how you are getting on, when the site will be complete, and whether you will be updating the site after that?

I checked with Pelle as he is in contact with all the Worldschool student groups and the good news is that the students are working on the site:

We`ve met Pelle in The Hague at the Worldschool event.
We`ll made a guideline for updating the website by Wamala Christopher.
We`re still waiting for the film and photos from Pelle.
We can`t do the fundraising object because Worldschool doesn`t want we do that.
We think you can post a new task: Fund Raising on the website.
We `ll send ideas to you; howe you can arrange the Fund Raising object, as fast as possible.

Once you have produced the guide to updating the site, Christopher and neighbours can help to complte the sections that your assignment does not allow you to.
Its not simple to add an online donation option to the site, as you cannot use Paypal etc to send money to Uganda. For now we will probably add a simple page explaining what money is required for, and how it could be sent to the school.

I have created a task for us to choose a domain name for the project website. All hands on deck so we can decide on a name and have it registered by next week.
