not sure you still need the plans on how to build the washroom but if yes, my former high school built a nice wash rooms for the girls possibly you could give them a visit and see.

Where should I record my delight at the news (posted by Mary in the news section, but not yet mentioned in this task discussion thread) that

This sounds great news! Does that mean a contribution towards the costs or payment of all the costs? Do we get to hear who the organisation is? Or how the donation was obtained? And does that mean that there will now be two washrooms for the girls or a washroom each for the girls and the boys? (Perhaps this is clear and I'm missing something!)

Can someone enlighten me?

Dear David,
The people or organisation,doesnt want us to mention the organisation,they say very many people will desdurb them and yet they have limited resources.
But what they did was that they contacted for an event hosted at St.Edward School in Uganda,these are the people who together with that organisation not mentioned that did raise that money,including that for food.
Further,the funds sent will be used for ,
1.Building another 50.000 Lt water hervesting tank.
2.Hervesting piping system for hervesting water from the roof (older girls side)
3.Purchasing of some food in this very dificult time.As the whole world may now be aware,there is no food to feed our children dur to thr escalating prices and the drought that was in the area.
We shall need more help from friends all ove the world.
We have now washrooms for the older girls,but we are continuing to keep hunting for another organisation or people to help us build more for the boys

Christopher, there are hundreds of schools without washrooms in Uganda, even more in the rest of Africa and in other poor countries all across the world. Would it be an idea if we tried to identify the special reason for asking for help for Notre Dame? In other words, what is your schools Unique Selling Point? Once we have identified that, perhaps we would be in a stronger position to find people not only who are in a position to help you, but who really want to help you. In other words, those who have a Unique Buying Point that truly matches your own USP.

I think One point David would be
To create germ free environment at school for the kids, more so during the rainy seasons when diseases like chorela can happen this washrooms might be a solution to a perfect sanitation enevironment in the school.
