Secondary school building project/Update
Dear Matopeni Neighbors and Friends,
I just hope and believe that you are still fine! I would like to inform you that already we have done something small on the Secondary school project following funding we received from Australian volunteers. As I speak now the work is still in progress until the time we shall spend the whole amount we received. I have thought to share with you the progress so far made from the time we started last week. Kindly see the attached pictures. When we were buying the building materials i realized that most building materials had gone up in price by not less than 20% but still the total amount we received fitted into the budget that we had drown this is because Kenyan shilling is very weak against a dollar as per now and so we got more money in Ksh after the exchange rate. The committee and I decided to use the money to build the walls of three rooms and if any money will remain we shall use it to build the cables walls of the same rooms so that it may remain roofing.
Its my fear however that if the Ksh may became stronger against US$ or Euro in the coming days probably before we find funds to finish up the building then our budget would not be enough to finish up the whole construction. But i hope and pray that it doesn't change much.
God bless you and may you have a good weekend,
Stephen.
