But we were able to send a Library resource UP to the top of the Himalayas with just one old laptop and the village hooked it to a power generator and used the information to teach the kids the latest information in Science, Maths, Geography, etc..etc... At some point, you have to ask: "What are the kids learning? What materials are the kids using to learn?" In the past organisations that I have worked with are asked for donations of pens and paper...but in the long run, the organisors found that IT IS REALLY good Education materials like proper books and proper resource library that improves education for the kids. Please consider this input. Pens and paper are very important but long term education quality is More important. e.g. in the china project, we didnt buy pens and paper, the kids got chalk boards to learn to read & write BUT the teachers got an old computer and a resource library to TEAch Modern curriculums. all the best.
