Thanks for that. I will get the contact information of the local UNDP in Cambodia. Such that they can help us in this process. Organisations would more postively deal with Kimsorn. Because he is directly connected to the organisation.

Were you able to contact UNDP and/or FAO Representatives located in the Capital for presenting the project proposal and seeking their interest in getting the funding? If not it would be worth approaching the Respective Representatives who in general are supportive of NGOs efforts at grass root level.

Dear All friends of Moung Russey

I'm miss communication with you for some days ago and also late for Jenny reply too. I just reply to Janny at moment and I hope maybe she at Bank Kok Thailand already to day. I'm difficult with internet access in my area, I have to drive motor bike about 47 kilometers to find internet café at Battambang province. I hope when Jenny arrive here she will have more update information share to you.

I found Jacky question about training development, he would like to know about training center purpose and responsible. I would like to ensure that this initiative ideas was happen with youth association developed in four village and they identified the issue they are current facing. All key persons in their community found the lack of skill, illiteracy, youth migrant from village, a large number youth left school and lack self-employment, so they ask me to coordinate the group to find solution. They have community land and I will contribute my plot for build training center in multi purpose of building skill and awareness for youth. The last training of Dr. Larry he provided in topic of business plan and also he facilitate the youth group leader to organize the youth coordinating committee at that time you can see article from Dr. Larry I attached.

We do expect the source of fund from donor in and out side country because the center will serve direct to youth group in community with extension coordinate of committee of youth. The district government officers support to this idea and appeal for all assistant because the social fund of government can not apply to this project.

We already proposed two places for construct the center one in Chrey run Village about 24 kilometers from Moung Russey district and other one in Along Sdao village about 3 kilometers from district and we find service of volunteer to share training and skill training in course term each year.

Ronald usually marathon is being held in rural areas. So I guest we must preferred it in this place because we are inviting tourist to go to your country to attract the cambodian nature. and the route of the marathon must be in a tourist destination of your country.

Once we have accomplish this project plan, it is easy for us to go to the next step. Our goal is to produce a project plan so that there will be a clear idea to present this project to the sports centre for approval.

It seem Cambodia has had a number of Marathon events in the recent. This will make the work easier. For example the
Kamchai Mear to Prey Veng Marathon was scheduled for 26 March 2006 as Fundraising Event for Rural Cambodia

Hope Moung Russey Would part of the event but it is a rural area. Would such area attract sponsorship?
Or we can shift it to an Urban area.
The main Objective could be to raise funds for Moung Russey Training Centre.
We can also learn a lot from the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon which takes place in Cambodia.
Francis is back after being away for about three months. he has sent me an email regarding the marathon event and this what it he inquired about
