Our project

  • There is a need to sensitize, empower and assist the rural farmers to increase agricultural productivity and address potential environmental risks associated to tree destruction and poor unsustainable small subsistence agricultural practices.

Village facts

  • Butabala village is found in the parish of Nabitende in Nabitende Sub County in Iganga District in the eastern region of Busoga in Uganda. We have one highway which on reaching Namungalwe, you branch off to the left and there we have a murram road.

  • There is not much about history and settlements because it was one man getting big land and keep on selling to others who wish to stay in that area. The people here are mostly Basoga who speak Lusoga.

  • Arts and crafts.
    We at times have some drama clubs for some occassions.

  • Nabitende sub county has a population of 23,560 people of which 11,403 are males and 12,157 are females. The total population percentage is 3.3 and the average household size is 5.3.
