location

Butabala village is found in the parish of Nabitende in Nabitende Sub County in Iganga District in the eastern region of Busoga in Uganda. We have one highway which on reaching Namungalwe, you branch off to the left and there we have a murram road.

Most of the land is flat though we have some swapes but not big. Due to poverty, the environment has been encroached on in search for money whereby the trees have been destroyed to burn charcol and bricks. So we don't have much of the wild life there. The place is ever green if it is rainy season and we have two seasons a year. The land is mostly used for digging but on small scale because the population is big due to polygamous marriages.
Butabala has one(1) government aided school, one(1) borehole, no field for children to use, no health center or drug shop, the roads are poor.
